Did anyone say, “Peace, peace in the Middle East”?

With the passing of the last two weeks, there have been cries from heads of state, critics and religious leaders alike expecting the Middle East to burst into an all out war—some even expecting WW3 due to the Israeli and US attacks on Iran.

As stated in the last blog, it would appear that, even though this has inched us closer to the time of the Tribulation, it is indeed part of the wars and rumors of wars that must take place before Christ returns for His Church.

So now—is it peace? Even though Israel has been successful in eliminating much of the leadership of those who chant, “Death to Israel, Death to America”, there are still fractions that will not stop their hate. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW), who keeps a close eye on major areas in the world including Russia, China and Iran, contained in their report of June 30, 2025:

Iran insists on enriching uranium to whatever point they choose.
Iran is not interested in making peace deals with the US, nor admitting defeat; nor do they desire anyone to supervise their nuclear program (including the IAEA) since they only desire to enrich for energy and medical purposes.
Iranian officials contend that the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear program were “less devastating” than anticipated, (note-it is considered by experts that {at the time of the writing of ISW paper}, the Iranians have not had adequate time to investigate the damages).
A prominent Iranian cleric issued a religious ruling that states individuals who threaten Iranian leadership and religious authority are punishable by death.

In ISW's most recent assessment, dated, July 3, 2025, the Institute conveyed:

In light of the most recent intel, it seems unlikely there will be peace in the Middle East—at least not until the Millennium. Consequently, no peace in the Middle East would line up with Bible Prophecy—but there is more. On June 22, 2025, indianexpress.com (and other news outlets) reported, Former Russian President, Dmitry Medvedev, the present deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, said of Iran, “The enrichment of nuclear material and, now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons will continue...” He further broke the news that there were, “several countries (that) are poised to directly provide Iran with their nuclear warheads”. He did not elaborate on what countries were ready to hand over their own nukes—nor, does it seem logical that he would have received intel from Teran on how much damage had been achieved at the time of this statement.

But Iran is not Israel's only enemy in the region. Rockets are occasionally continuing to fly the Israeli skies—and they are not all Israeli rockets. The latest was Tuesday night, when the Houthis attempted to bomb Israel—again. Praise the Lord, their missiles were intercepted by Israeli defense systems, causing no damage or casualties. The Jerusalem Post reported that Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, stated, "The law of Yemen is the law of Tehran." He continued, "After we strike the head of the serpent in Tehran, we will also strike the tail of the serpent in Yemen."

A senior Houthi official, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, declared that the Iranian-backed rebel force has “no red lines” in its war against the Jewish state, according to Qatar’s Al-Araby Television Network.

Yemen is a state on the southwest end of Saudi Arabia. It borders the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait where the Houthis have caused several disturbances to ships they determine are headed to or from Israel. Not only have they confided their operations to the sea, on May 4, 2025, the Houthis sent a ballistic missile fired from Yemen which struck near Israel’s Ben-Gurion International Airport. The blast moderately wounding six people, and disrupted takeoffs and arrivals. According to Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) media outlet, “in recent months (the Houthis) have repeatedly launched long-range ballistic missiles and drones at Israel, targeting strategic sites including ports, military bases, and now, the country’s main international airport.” This, of coarse, has embolden the terror group, giving them the confidence to express to the media that this has proven its ability to hit “sensitive and strategic” sites in Israel. A senior Houthi official, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, declared that the Iranian-backed rebel force has “no red lines” in its war against the Jewish state, according to Qatar’s Al-Araby Television Network.

From the on-line encyclopedia, Britannica.com, Yemen is somewhat tribal, but very much separated by religion. Muslim being the greatest population, divided into a greater number of Sunni and less number of Shiite. Houthis are Shiite living mainly in the north of Yemen. The country also has a population of Somalis, Black and Indo-Pakistani, plus a small population of non-muslim including Jews, Bahāʿi, Hindu, and Christian adherents. The Houthis's are a religious revival of Zaydi Shite, which have the same views as Iran. Iranian military support to the Houthis began as early as 2009, amid the Houthis’ first war against Yemen’s government. Most experts agree that the Houthis were receiving weapons from Iran by 2014, the year they captured Sanaa, city capital of Yemen. But experts believe the number one reason Iran had such an interest in the Houthis is, Saudi Arabia, another of Iran's enemies, provided military intervention against the Houthis during their war with Yemen's then government. Instead of the Houthis' being an Iranian proxy, the Houthis are considered by many as Iran’s willing partner. For the Houthis and the Islamic Republic share an ideological affinity and geopolitical interests that motivate the Houthis to assist Iran—hatred toward the Jews and the United States.

So, it would appear, there is no peace in the Middle East—at this moment. However, immediately after the Rapture but prior to the beginning of the Tribulation, the Anti-Christ will comes forth. A covenant is confirmed between the Anti-Christ and Israel and others. Everyone will thinks that now there is going to peace—but they are all wrong. The confirmation of this covenant begins the Tribulation period. During the 1st part of the Tribulation, the Russian-Arab invasion of Israel takes place, with 1/4th of the world's population being killed. Check out this link to read more about these events

Perhaps you think this is a fairy tale. You don't believe that any of this is true. Can you discern the signs of the sky (you can tell if is going to rain or not), but you can not discern the times we are now living?  Check out this link.
