Is Israel In Disrepair?                               6/1/21

The Abraham Accords Declaration.

While peace in the Middle East has been a modern‐era illusion that dreams were made of, U.S. President Donald J. Trump and his insightful administration, showed the world that it could be obtained—via the Abraham Accords. What are the Abraham Accords (refer to the picture)? It is the first peace agreement between Arab states (United Arab Emirates {UAE}, Morocco and Bahrain) and Israel since its 1994 peace treaty with Jordan. Simply put, it is an agreement to live peaceably with one′s fellow, respecting their religious liberty and rejecting radicalism, so that their children will have a better tomorrow. Not only through economics, but also through the arts, science and medicine—despite the Palestinian situation. All Israelis saw this as a good thing. The governments of the Arab Gulf states saw this as a good thing. However, with a new administration in the White House this year (the Biden Administration), the efforts (or U.S. support) behind the Accords has dwindled. So have U.S. and Israeli relations.

You may ask, why has this happened? Many believe it is due to the fact that there is no “new blood” in this new administration. Fifteen of the people President Biden chose, also worked for the Obama Administration—people he worked well with in the past. All of his choices have worked in government for decades. Of course, a President needs to find experts that have the same ideological views as his own. The thinking goes like this, assemble the best people who will do the best work. Time is important, as agendas need to pass through quickly. By being a career politician, one can call on long‐time government friends to run interference when opposition arises.

And what is one of the agendas for this new U.S. President? Regarding the Middle East, it appears to be the same one that the Obama Administration was trying to achieve—a nuclear Iran and restored relations with, not only the Palestinian Authority, but also Gaza′s Hamas. There are not many that actually believe peace between these players will bring peace to the Middle East; however, the Biden Administration, from the get go, has not only pushed for negotiations to re‐open with Iran, but insisted that aid be reinstated with Hamas. That means the Abraham Accords are not looked upon with favor by the Biden Administration—peace in the Middle East does not appear to be the objective for the current U.S. administration.

The Accords were named, “Abraham” because traditionally Abraham was a descendant of Shem, son of Noah, and the father of all the “Semitic” peoples. Therefore, he is considered a shared patriarch of the Jewish and Arab tribes (by way of Isaac and Ishmael). If you would like to learn more on Isaac and Ishmael please visit this link.

Even though President Biden says he will build upon the Abraham Accords, his actions speak differently. He has reinstated sending financial aid to the Palestinians in Gaza, which sounds nice. However, in the past, not much of this aid, if any, ever appeared to end up in hands that could help the Palestinian people. It was usually generated to finance Hamas′ (the Iranian backed terrorist organization) hatred toward the Jews—it did not make for peace in the Middle East. For example, during the year 2014, over 3,000 rockets were fired into Israel, mostly coming from Hamas in Gaza. After President Trump went to the White House, he stopped the financing of “Hamas labeled” Palestinian aid, and searched for alternate methods of helping the Palestinian people. In the years from 2016-2020 (four years), while President Trump was in office, Hamas served, in total, about 1,187 rockets into Israel. It is interesting to note that since the Biden Administration, the rockets of hatred toward the Jews have once again greatly increased. This year (in just five months), Hamas has hammered Israel (at the time of this writing) with 4,422 rockets, the majority (over 4,369) were served in just ten days from May 10‐20. Currently, there is a mutual, unconditional cease‐fire between Israel and Hamas. The cease‐fire was brokered by Egypt, after the U.S. pressed Israel to wind down the offensive, which they did not start.

But the tiny Middle East state of Israel has greater problems than that of her enemies without. It appears to also be fighting the enemies within. This is a battle that started during the Obama era, as the then President Obama was seeking to sign an agreement that would make Iran (Moslem enemy of Israel) nuclear within ten years of the agreement. Because the U.S. Senate invited Prime Minister Netanyahu to speak with them (in show of their solidarity with Israel), the Prime Minister accepted. President Obama said, there would be a price to pay. That price came during re‐election time for the Prime Minister. The Obama election team set up offices in Tel‐Aviv with the mission of dethroning the longtime, greatly loved Prime Minister. Tabletmag.com reports, “Obama′s State Department…funneled money to an NGO that campaigned against Netanyahu in 2015.” The slogan read, “Anyone but Bibi” (a nickname for the Prime Minister). Mr Netanyahu′s main opponent, at the time, was a man by the name of Yair Lapid. After defeating Lapid, the Prime Minister′s rival led the charge with a vehement hatred toward Netanyahu, claiming he would do everything in his power to stop him. Even during the Trump era, the “Anyone, but Bibi” elites were busy at work, constantly trying to undermine the Prime Minister. This last Israeli election saw the same tactics from U.S. Democrats. Tabletmag.com says, “the Biden administration is interfering in Israel′s upcoming election by strong‐arming the Emiratis (who signed the Abraham Accords with Israel) into publicly distancing themselves from Bibi.” Apparently, the U.S. government (the Biden Administration) was crying, “election interference”—a familiar cry. And like the Russia‐gate conspiracy theory, the media ran with the story, even though it was not the Emiratis who wanted to cancel the meeting; but the U.S. wanted to use it to hurt Bibi as the Abraham Accords are very popular with the Israelis—no matter what side you are on.

So, has the ultimate goal been achieved? After numerous smear campaigns and lawsuits/investigations against Mr Netanyahu, plus the belittling of his wife before the public; plus their attempt to create laws to stop the Prime Minister from ever running for a political office (which also sounds familiar to Americans)—sadly, parts of his right‐wing government began to dissolve. Mr Netanyahu has become political poison for politicians to associate. A man that has always been a staunch defender of Israel, who has not backed down in the protection of his nation: standing up to the world at the U.N. many times, fearlessly fighting for the right of not only Israel to exist, but for the rights of Jewish people around the world. Always reminding the persecuted Jews to come to Israel, because he knew that was the only place they would have a chance to exist.

That leaves us with today, May 30, 2021. After four rounds of elections (and several failures by the Prime Minister to form a government as he usually always won the popular vote), it may be over. It was announced that a new coalition made up of Naftali Bennett (a former aid to Prime Minister Netanyahu) who heads the Yamina Party (he himself is a conservative‐liberal) announced he would, “do my utmost in order to form a national unity government along with my friend, Yair Lapid.” Mr Lapid is the head of the very liberal (centrist) Yesh Atid party and antagonist against Prime Minister Netanyahu. And Mr Lapid not only dislikes the Prime Minister, he does not like his politics—he does not like PM Netanyahu′s strong stance against a two state solution regarding the Palestinians.

As most Israelis are not in favor of splitting their homeland, the anti‐Netanyahu coalition is not strong enough to stand alone, they need the help of Arab members of parliament, who do not exactly desire the state of Israel to exist. It is highly unlikely they will have much in common with the conservative‐liberal Bennett′s agendas, which include more settlement building on the West Bank and its partial annexation. But politics make strange bed fellows, and Bennett has decided (he says) for the good of the nation, to climb in bed with the…, well, perhaps the Israeli protesters have said it best, “no to a left‐wing/terrorist government.”

However gloomy it may look for the Prime Minister, all is not set in stone. Mr Lapid has till Wednesday night to coordinate between eight different parties. Parties as diverse as the color black is to white. The negotiators will, more than likely, avoid issues that would cause disagreements like: the role of religion in society and Palestinian aspirations for statehood. However, these parties will need to accept the responsibility of not only ousting the Prime Minister, but responsibility to work together for the good of Israel. According to Ynet news, “Under a prospective power‐sharing deal, Bennett would replace Netanyahu, the 71‐year‐old head of the Likud party, as prime minister and later give way to centrist Lapid in a rotation agreement.” If an agreement cannot be made, Mr Bennett concluded that more elections would collapse the country. He said, he had decided instead to “stop the craziness”. Bennett invited parties to show restraint in achieving their goals in coalition talks and in the government.

So what does this all have to do with Bible Prophecy? The Bible tells us that Gog (the chief leader of Russia) will get a thought and devise an evil scheme that will lead to the invasion of Israel by forces from Russia, Iran and other nations‐ref Ez 38. The Bible indicates this will take place shortly after the Rapture (Biblically called the “caught up″) and during the first part of the Tribulation. Iran has recently warned the Jews to go back to Europe, or America, or wherever they are from and restart their life there. With a Biden Administration in power that leans toward Israel′s enemies (the Palestinians and Iran) and the perception that American leadership and its resolve is weakened—would Russia be more emboldened to attack Israel? Check out this link for how Russia (and other nations) will attack Israel and why.

Question is, are you ready? If you think you are, be sure— check out this link. Warn others about the future of the world. Hell is a real place and if you really understood what it is going to be like, you would not want anyone to go there—NO ONE. Check out this link on Hell and the Lake of Fire. Remember, For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ‐2 Cor 4:6. That means we, having received the Light, by the grace of God, should communicate the same with others. That is why Christ calls us the “light of the world”‐ref Mt 5:13,14.
